What is CCP?

Career and College Promise (CCP) provides seamless dual enrollment opportunities for eligible NC high school students in order to accelerate completion of college certificates that lead to college transfer or provide entry-level job skills.

College Transfer Pathways

We will insure that each course a high school student completes in the pathway with a C or better will be accepted by all UNC member institutions.

To be eligible to enroll, the student must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a junior or senior
  • Demonstrate college readiness on an assessment or placement test.
  • 3.0 GPA on high school courses
  • Continue to progress towards high school graduation.

Classes include:
English, Math, Social Sciences, Fine Arts and Humanities, Natural Sciences and ACA 122

Career Technical Pathways

To be eligible to enroll, the student must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a junior or senior
  • 3.0 GPA on high school courses
  • Consideration of Plan scores
  • Continue to progress towards high school graduation.

Career Technical Pathways include:
Business, Cosmetology, Criminal Justice, Esthetics, Medical and Welding.

Students and parents benefit from Career and College Promise classes. Students know where they stand throughout the semester, and upon completion of the class, they receive college credit that is transferable. Parents, there is no cost for Career and College Promise classes, saving you thousands of dollars.
