The traditional Open House at Pamlico Community College the last Saturday in July has been re-formatted to be a Fresh Start.
Fresh Start will provide prospective and returning students with an opportunity to explore different careers, meet with faculty advisors, receive financial aid counseling, register for classes, learn how to register online, and on top of it all, have a chance to win $250 that can be applied toward tuition expenses.
Fresh Start will emphasize just that, an opportunity for recent high school graduates or individuals who have been out of school or out of work for some time to learn how to ignite a fresh start in career opportunities.
Area residents are urged to be on the look out for the upcoming edition of The Beacon, the college’s newsletter mailed prior to each semester. The Fall 2004 Beacon is expected to be in the mail within the next two weeks. It will provide more information about Fresh start, but will also
Sj-include a schedule for every class offered this fall, from those in the academic programs of study to seminars at the Small Business Center, from Life Enrichment courses – violin to bird watching, from Emergency Services & Occupational Health to Basic skills and Workforce Training.
Can’t wait to see the Beacon arrive in the mail, call the college, 252-249-1851 to make an appointment to meet with the recruiter, a counselor, or a faculty advisor from a specific program area, or visit the college website, www.pamlicocc.edu and check out the class schedules for the fall.
