Law Enforcement

SWAT officers training

Law enforcement is always trying to stay ahead of the game when it comes to fighting crime.  The ability to train officers is imperative. It is especially challenging when personnel and funds for training are limited. As technology continues to evolve and become more sophisticated, so do criminals. Technology has no boundaries and its arm can reach from the largest city to the most rural of areas. Additionally, drug usage and trafficking continues to increase in urban areas as well as rural communities.

Pamlico Community College is committed to providing affordable quality training to help meet these needs by offering not only Mandated In-Service Training but specialized training in the areas of Physical & Rural Surveillance, Homicide Investigations, Drug Enforcement and Narcotics. Classes are designed for law enforcement personnel and can also be beneficial for criminal justice instructors. Law enforcement personnel working for a state agency may be entitled to a state tuition waiver.
